Spy Glass Hill Project, Southern California

Project: Spy Glass Hill
Location: Newport Beach, California
Interior Designer: Marissa Wolf
Square Footage: 4,500

Worked with Interior Designer, Marissa Wolf to create 12 different finishes for this project.

Project Scope:

Prior to our finish, the vaulted ceiling was sandblasted with a white wash. The designer wanted us to create a driftwood color and faux grain, distress the beams and give a dark wood look. Created driftwood color with three custom colored glazes and a tinted sealer along with faux graining to create dark wood beams.

Master Bath has a light distress, pull off crackle effect, a base coat and two glaze coats with shading and high lights. 24 ct. gold leafed the claw feet and applied gold and silver leaf with distressing throughout the cabinet

Faux wood grain on beams in all the bedrooms

  Venetian Plaster throughout house

Dining Room: Black Asian lacquered wine cabinets with gold highlights

The Study: Layer stain with clear coats in between to create a deep rich color
